Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 21, 2026

Plain-English version

Your information is yours. We collect only what we need to understand your request and help you move it forward. We do not sell your personal information or send it broadly to dealerships.

If we believe a dealership may be a good fit, we will ask for your permission before sharing your information with that dealership.

Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Yes Drive, operated by 2435542 Alberta Ltd.

Our Privacy Officer can be reached at info@yesdrive.ca.

Information we collect

When you use our website or ask us for help, we may collect information such as:

  • Your name and preferred contact method
  • Email address or phone number
  • Location
  • The vehicle or product you are looking for
  • What the vehicle needs to do
  • Trade-in details
  • Budget or payment comfort
  • Timing and purchase readiness
  • Other information you choose to share with us

If you choose to move beyond an initial conversation, we may need additional information to help understand your situation or prepare for a dealership introduction. This can include information about a trade, employment or income, financing needs, or other sensitive details.

We will explain why that information is needed and seek appropriate consent before collecting or sharing sensitive information.

Why we collect and use information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your request
  • Understand what you need
  • Help identify a useful vehicle and dealership path
  • Communicate with you in the way you choose
  • Coordinate conversations, introductions, or test drives when requested
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Protect our business, customers, and website
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations

How we share information with dealerships

Submitting the public Start Here form does not automatically authorize Yes Drive to send your information to a dealership.

Before we share personal information with a dealership for a specific request, we will ask for your permission. We will explain the purpose of the sharing and the dealership or dealerships involved.

We share only the information reasonably needed for that dealership to understand the request and decide whether it can help.

Once information is shared with a dealership, that dealership handles it under its own privacy practices. You may ask us to stop future sharing at any time, but we cannot pull back information that has already been sent to a dealership.

Service providers

We may use trusted service providers to operate our website, forms, email, communications, recordkeeping, and other business systems. They may access information only as needed to provide services to us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

Some service providers may process information outside Alberta or Canada. Their handling of information may be subject to the laws of those places.

Website information

When you visit our website, our hosting, security, and service providers may collect limited technical information such as browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, and basic usage information. We use this information to operate, protect, and improve the website.

How we protect and retain information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for legitimate business records, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it where appropriate.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can contact us to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request access to your information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent for future collection, use, or sharing
  • Stop non-essential marketing communications
  • Ask questions or raise a privacy concern

To make a request, email info@yesdrive.ca with the subject line "Privacy Request".

We may need to verify your identity before responding. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot continue helping with a request or make future dealership introductions, but it will not affect information already shared with a dealership or records we must keep by law.

Concerns or complaints

Please contact us first at info@yesdrive.ca. We will do our best to resolve the concern directly.

If you remain concerned, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or another applicable privacy regulator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
